I'm an Australian Orthopaedic Upper Limb Surgeon who has an extensive International and Australia subspecialty training in Hand, Wrist and Elbow Surgery including Shoulder Surgery and Microsurgery. I can also converse in Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien and Bahasa.
I'm consulting with Apley Orthopaedics in Melbourne.
After completing Bachelor degrees in Medical Science and Medicine and Surgery at The University of Melbourne, I undertook further postgraduate training in Clinical and Surgical Anatomy through Monash University and Queensland University of Technology. In 2016, I was awarded a Master of Surgery in Orthopaedics from The University of Melbourne, recognising advanced academic achievement in surgical research.
In 2018, I was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and the Australian Orthopaedic Association (FAOrthA). I am also an Associate Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (AFRACMA). In addition, I serve as an advisor to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Artificial Intelligence Group, contributing expertise on emerging technologies and their applications in surgical practice.
I am appointed as the Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery at The University of Notre Dame Australia, where I contribute to medical education, clinical excellence, and the development of future healthcare professionals.
I had the opportunity to work with the world’s best and brightest upper limb, hand and orthopaedic surgeons at various prestigious and renowned upper limb and hand centres globally. This enriching experience not only honed my skills but also deepened my understanding of the complexities involved in this specialised field.
My subspecialty fellowship training spanned from 2018 to 2020- including the privilege of working at highly sought-after fellowship programs in Sydney, Brisbane and United Kingdom.
In addition to my subspecialist training, I have obtained further qualifications from other international universities such as Oxford University, MIT, Harvard University and University of California Berkeley.
I always believe in giving back to the community and making a difference to the people around me.
I am involved in the The University of Melbourne Faculty of Medicine, Dental and Health Science Student Mentoring Program. I am also involved in orthopaedic teaching and mentoring the next generation of surgeons and medical students. I have been appointed as the Senior Clinical Lecturer at The University of Notre Dame School of Medicine. I was an ex-examiner for medical students at Macquarie University.
I set aside time to provide my expert services to St John Ambulance Victoria at my local community, the underpriviledged communities in Queensland and be part of the International Orthopaedic Outreach Project.
